——雍莉等外国人镜头下的西安变迁

The vicissitudes of Xi’an captured with their cameras.

「我者」与「他者」，是中国近现代史的一大主题。从西风东渐，到而今全球化乃至于逆全球化，对此的探讨从未休止。

The relationship between “ The Natives” and “The Outsiders”，is always a main topic in Modern Chinese History，the discussion upon this has never drawn to an end since western learning was introduced into China, till nowadays when globalization and even anti-globalization become a new trend.

正是在「我者」与「他者」的相互打量 中，中与西，城市与外界，这些关系得以演进。城市无时 无刻不在变迁，然而比自身演进更有意味的，是这个过程中双方视角的变化。

Right in the measurements between the natives and the outsiders，can all these relationships, such as Chinese versus Western，locals versus the out-comers ,be developed well. The city is changing rapidly all the time，while the change of each other’s perspective during the whole procedure is even more significant than the change itself.

那些曾经来过西安的外国友人，他们通过镜头记录下了西安每一个阶段的变化。荷兰莱顿大学研究员雍莉就是其中之一。

Those foreigners who have been here have captured the transitions of Xi’an in each period with their cameras，Alice Barbara Nicolette De Jong（Yong Li）-the researcher of  Leiden University-is a typical one of them.

所以我们把展览主题定为「外国人视角下的 西安变迁」，是要表达城市客体的变迁，更是要表达「他者」对「我者」的接触、打量 、融入过程中视 角的变化。

Thus we set the topic of this exhibition as The vicissitudes of Xi’an that captured with the foreigners' cameras, our aim is not only expressing the transformations of the city as objectives，but also to show the transitions of the perspectives between the natives and the outsiders during the procedures of interacting, measuring as well as merging.

雍莉介绍 A brief introduction to Li Yong

ALICE BARBARA NICOLETTE DE JONG，

中文名：雍莉，荷兰莱顿大学研究员，

Chinese name：Yong Li，researcher of Leiden University of Netherlands

研究方向为中国美食-欧洲/亚洲文化交流。

Research on Chinese meals／Euro-Asia culture exchange

1980-1985年在中国的西安、重庆、成都、上海、香港等地游学，期间拍摄的照片在中国网络上引发了无数人的回忆和共鸣。

During 1980-1985, Yong attended the study tour through Xi’an, Chongqing, Shanghai and HongKong, etc. Once posted, the photographs she took in the tour has  reminded millions of people of their old-time memories and struck a responsive chord on the Chinese internet.

本次展览的是她1983-1984年在西安拍摄的照片。

This exhibition is to show the photos she took in Xi’an during1983-1984.
